Cycloaliphatic Epoxy Resins
Cycloaliphatic epoxy resins are often used in weather-resistant, high-performance outdoor applications. Our advanced epoxy resins are designed for applications that require superior arc and arc-track resistance, high-heat distortion, UV resistance and ionic purity—such as filament wound composites, electrical and electronic insulation, encapsulants for LEDs and optoelectronics, potting for transformers and high voltage coils, inks and varnishes, laminating adhesives and as acid scavengers. They can also be used as reactive modifiers to lower the viscosity of Bisphenol-A epoxy resins and increase its UV resistance.
A cycloaliphatic, diepoxy functional compound, GPE-221 is the combination of aliphatic backbone, high oxirane content and no halogens provides resins low viscosity, weatherability, low dielectric constant and high-cured Tg properties.
Low viscosity and good fluidity for use in bulk manufacturing in cured products that can withstand high temperatures for long periods.
Standard flexibilizing cycloaliphatic epoxide resin for use in many applications requiring a higher viscosity or more flexible product.
